Our Operations
At Urology Department 50 C, we investigate, treat, and operate on individuals with diseases of the urinary tract. We are a surgical unit specialized in urology with both planned and emergency services. Our elective services focus on cancers of the bladder, prostate, kidneys, and testicles. In the acute flow, we handle major kidney trauma, acute bleeding, sepsis, and acute injuries to the penis and testicles. We also operate on young adults with malformations of the urinary tract. We work in teams together with the patient. This means we focus on the person's unique needs, resources, and experiences, not just the disease. In your work, you will meet patients of various ages and situations, where you will make a difference in their lives. The team at 50C consists of competent, friendly, and secure colleagues who will welcome you quickly into the group.
Your Mission
As a nurse, you will work in a team with one to two nursing assistants. We have close collaboration with doctors, physiotherapists, dietitians, and pharmacists. The tasks are varied; standard postoperative care, admissions and discharges, emergency care, care planning, and interventions for patients with complex care needs. You will have the support of our coordinating nurse who acts as a mentor and discharge responsible.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed nurse who is responsible, meticulous, and professional. You have previous experience in inpatient care, you thrive in an educational culture, and you are innovative. You collaborate with others in a responsive and respectful manner and are accommodating in your interactions. You are flexible and have a good ability to switch both pace and tasks when the situation requires it. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of the development of our department and someone who enjoys driving improvement work.
We Offer
- Individually tailored introduction for 5 weeks.
- Mentorship program during your first year with us, for a secure start to your career.
- Competence ladder, where you have the opportunity to develop from novice to expert.
- Regular training such as SMART, CPR, mini-lectures, and reflection.
- A flexible workplace where you have influence over your schedule and development.
- A management that is present, communicative, transparent, and provides feedback.
The position is a permanent employment and a probationary period may apply. Rotation means that your working hours will include at least 20% night shifts, which entails an additional compensation. The position can be filled in agreement.
